We’re looking for a drummer to move forward with us.
PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS FIRST:
• We are based in Atlanta, GA and our rehearsal studio is just south of downtown.
• We are sober, highly liberal, with a focus on socio-political issues, human & civil rights. We govern our band by the Afropunk rules: NO SEXISM, NO RACISM, NO ABLEISM, NO AGEISM, NO HOMOPHOBIA, NO FATPHOBIA, NO TRANSPHOBIA, NO HATEFULNESS. If you aren’t enthusiastic about that, please do not proceed any further… Thank you for your interest and good luck out there!
• We generally practice twice a week. We use in-ear monitoring and a click track in studio, so experience with that is very helpful.
• We have a FREE small private recording and practice studio with everything we need. We’ve made all of our own records and videos there. There’s a good quality drum kit with nice hardware you can play at the space. You will also have access to our recording gear for whatever personal projects you wish.
• We have all pro gear, merch, recordings, web presence, etc. We don’t do anything half-assed. We’d want the same from you!
• We play locally and regionally quite often. We are well-established and receive lots of cool offers to play at venues and festivals. We try to take the band seriously, because it’s fun for us to do that. That being said, none of us currently work full-time in music. We do this for the adventure and the joy, so If you’re a mercenary-type that wants to chase paid gigs, or are looking for a “paying professional situation,” then we probably aren’t the right band for you.
